- Meanwhile, Rafael Grossi, head of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), visited the Kursk Nuclear Power Plant on Tuesday, which Russia alleged had been shelled amid Ukraine's offensive in the region. Grossi said he was shown damage from drone attacks and warned of a nuclear incident given that the site does not have a protective dome like most facilities.[4]
- Elsewhere, the Institute for the Study of War (ISW), a US military think tank that tracks troop position in the conflict, reported that Russian forces made a number of 'significant' advances near the city of Pokrovsk in Donetsk over the past day.[5]
