Facts

  • Ukrainian officials said at least 14 civilians were killed and 43 others were injured after Russia struck a supermarket in the town of Kostiantynivka in Donetsk on Friday.[1]

  • Ukraine's post office, Nova Poshta, said its cargo department located at the Eco-Market shopping center was the target of the attack. It said that while all its employees survived, one suffered from a concussion, adding that it will compensate customers for destroyed cargo.[2]

Narratives

  • Pro-Ukraine narrative, as provided by UKRINFORM. This is yet another terror attack and war crime perpetrated on Ukraine by Russia. Russia will be held accountable for these actions, while Ukraine will not rest in pursuit of its goal to regain its sovereign territory.
  • Pro-Russia narrative, as provided by TASS. Russia has repeatedly said that it does not target civilians. All strikes are directed at military targets, including military warehouses, fuel depots, and training facilities.
