Twitter Sued Over Unpaid Office Fees

Facts

• Twitter is being sued by Facilitate, an Australian project management company, for around $700K in damages over the social media company allegedly not paying its bills.¹
• Facilitate’s suit, which was filed in the US District Court for the Northern District of California, claims that from 2022 through early 2023 it installed sensors in Twitter’s London and Dublin offices, furnished an office in Singapore, and cleared out the company’s Sydney office.²
• Twitter has not disputed the invoices, which date back to Elon Musk’s purchase of the platform in the fall of 2022, but has reportedly not paid them.³
• Twitter, which does not have a media relations department, did not issue a comment on this matter.⁴
• Facilitate’s suit is one of many against Twitter for allegedly failing to pay bills, as the platform is also being sued for not paying rent in Oakland, Boston, Seattle, London, and San Francisco.⁴
