  • Rep. Majorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) Thursday introduced a resolution attempting to censure Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.), alleging that the Congresswoman broke her oath of office with 'treasonous' comments Greene said Omar made during a speech in Minneapolis.1
  • Greene claims that during the Jan. 27 speech, Omar 'assured' Somalis that 'the US Government will only do what Somalians in the US tell them to do,' and that she was 'here to protect the interests of Somalia from inside the US system.'1
  • In response to a post on X, formerly known as Twitter, claiming that Omar's speech — spoken in Somali — was being misinterpreted, Omar described the accusations against her as 'completely off' before commenting that she 'wouldn't expect more from these propagandists.'2
