- The allegations include 'abuse of power' and 'obstruction of justice or obstruction of Congress' because, according to the Republicans, Biden participated in and kept hidden an alleged $27M 'influence-peddling racket.'[2]
- The report also claims Biden's son, Hunter, played a role in these deals, including receiving $3.5M from Russian businesswoman Yelena Baturina. One of Hunter's business partners claimed the elder Biden joined a phone call with Baturina and told her to 'be good to my boy.'[3]
- Hunter Biden is also accused of receiving two diamonds from Chinese businesses and a $142K car from a Kazakh businessman. A Chinese company allegedly also gave a credit card for personal expenses to the wife of Joe Biden's brother, James.[4]
- James Biden is further accused of cutting his brother in on his business dealings, including sending him $200K the same day he received $200K from the healthcare company Americore. However, Democrats say that payment was a reimbursement for a loan.[5]
- House Republicans didn't file or say if they planned to file impeachment charges. But House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.) encouraged 'all Americans to read this report,' which he said shows Biden's 'corrupt practices.'[6]
