Brooklyn Nets Fire Coach Steve Nash

• Following a 2-5 start to the 2022-23 NBA season, the Brooklyn Nets fired head coach Steve Nash in an announcement Tuesday morning, with assistant coach Jacque Vaughn serving as interim coach starting Tuesday night.
• Nash, who went 94-69 during his more than two years with the team, will reportedly be replaced by suspended Celtics coach Ime Udoka, who shares the title of former San Antonio Spurs assistant coach with Nets General Manager Sean Marks.
• In a statement, Marks said, "Since becoming head coach, Steve was faced with a number of unprecedented challenges," adding that "this was an immensely difficult decision."

• Nash, a former Phoenix Suns player, earned the titles of eight-time All-Star, two-time league MVP, and was later inducted into the basketball Hall of Fame in 2018.
